In a column for a United Kingdom supermarket magazine, Pippa Middleton, sister of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has finally confirmed that she is pregnant. It would be her and her husband’s first baby. So, she decided to talk about her first trimester. Pippa revealed that, unlike her sister, she did not have any problems with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, or severe morning sickness. According to the 34-year old socialite, she was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without having to worry about morning sickness. She also revealed that the early stage of the pregnancy did not prevent her from continuing her normal schedule.

Even though she had to make some small changes, all was well in the end. She even kept her pregnancy a secret from her gym instructor, at least until the risky period was over. Pippa admitted that she also had to adjust her daily fitness routine. She revealed that even if her body is changing, exercise has helped her become stronger. Being a fanatic for sport, as she admitted, she looked at lots of magazines. She also read websites to find out what you can and cannot do. Unfortunately, she was disappointed by the lack of information.

Pippa is positive that through exercise and a balanced diet, her favorite jeans will still fit her perfectly after she gives birth. It’s interesting that the day after the big wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, she and her husband celebrated their own one-year anniversary.

They were married last year on May 20 and then went on an amazing honeymoon in French Polynesia and Australia. There were rumors about a possible pregnancy even before Duchess Kate gave birth to her third child with Prince William, Prince Luis. Now, it has all been confirmed by the happy mom-to-be herself.

Germany Announces a Smartwatches Ban for Children

November 20, 2017 By Dean Lamori Leave a Comment

Germany is imposing a smartwatches ban to protect kids and their privacy.

Recently, the German telecommunication agency, called Bundesnetzagentur, announced that they would be banning certain smartwatches for children. Moreover, in a report they issued, they are asking the parents who already bought these devices to destroy them. The reason for the smartwatches ban? The regulators believe they can be used as ‘prohibitive listening devices’.

Smartwatches Ban – Denouncing a Threat?

Through its announcement, Germany proved that it is focusing on the listening abilities available on the smartwatches. However, the authorities didn’t declare anything regarding the BEUC’s (European Consumer Organization) announcement that these devices are also a threat to the kids’ privacy. According to the BEUC, people could hack the GPS tracking of the smartwatches and thus find out where a child is. They could even spoof the GPS location.

According to the Agency, it has already acted in what concerns various offers on the Internet about smartwatches. Jochen Homann, who is the President of the Federal Network Agency, declared that with an app, parents could use the watches to listen to the child’s environment. As such, these watches should be considered ‘unauthorized transmitting equipment’.

Illegal Practices Denounced

According to Homann, the agency did some research, and it turns out there are plenty of parents who use the smartwatches to listen to their childrens’ teachers. The law in Germany specifies that it’s illegal to record or to listen to private conversations without the permission of the people being recorded. Now, the Agency advises parents to destroy the devices. At the same time, they are warning schools to pay attention to the watches that have a recording function.

If Europe’s war on smartwatches will continue, manufacturers will need to improve their security protocols. This might also lead to an improvement in the entire smartwatch market. Currently, the situation isn’t all that great when it comes to these devices, which is why people will likely be happy to see some improvements in this field.
