It seems that composer Pinar Toprak is getting ready to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a way that not many people imagined. She will be the first woman to score a Marvel Studio movie and she will work on the upcoming and highly-anticipated Captain Marvel. The movie is also the first female-fronted one to come from Marvel who will now also have a woman to compose the score for the studio’s upcoming feature. On Thursday, Toprak herself wrote a heartfelt message on her official Instagram page. In it, she thanked everyone for the incredible opportunity to work with Marvel. She called what happens an “incredible honor” and said that the first thought going through her head is gratitude.
Pinar Toprak is part of the wave of young talents that have taken Hollywood by storm. Previously, she has worked on SyFy’s successful series called Krypton, which tells the story of a young Superman. Apart from this, she has also provided the score for the popular videogame Fortnite. It seems that she can smell success in the projects that she is taking. Maybe Captain Marvel will also become one of them and will establish her as a household name in the movie score industry.
