Pope Francis is set on making global warming a world priority and has warned the leaders of the world that they will respond in front of God if they fail to save the planet.
Pope Francis has made a world wide warning to the leaders of the planet, by telling them that they will have to justify themselves in front of God if they don’t manage to save the environment and to make sure the world has enough food to eat.
Earth has enough food for everybody, but it appears that there is not enough good will to share that food with every person on the planet, stated Pope Francis during a mass prepared for charitable actions.
Humans have to do what’s in their powers so everyone living on Earth has food to eat.The leaders of the world have to keep in mind the fact that there will come the time when God will call them in from of Him and that will be the moment when they will have to answer if they indeed did all they could to provide food for the world and keep the environment healthy, explained the catholic leader.
Earlier this year, the pope has released an encyclical trough which he addressed the world leaders about the critical state of our planet and about the devastating effects of global warming.
Fighters for saving the planet and decreasing global warming believe that the involvement of the pope in changing the situation of our environment might enhance the already existing warning on the dangers presented by the heating of the planet.
His statements could have a positive influence on the discussions regarding global warming, starting from what is causing it to what measures might be taken.
Pope Francis will present his opinion in front of the world leaders, which will gather trough a UN Special Summit on Sustainable Development. The summit is set to take place in September after which in December is expected to be established a worldwide agreement on fighting global warming between the powers of the world who will meet in Paris.
Groups doubting that global warming will ever be fixed have warned Pope Francis, to maintain a neutral position but it seems that he is to set on making his point heard by the entire world. The pope considers that the problem is one that has been created by the hands of humans but it also can be fixed if political measures were to be taken.
