TBI told reporters that Tad Cummins bought Cialis and sexual lube.
As the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is about to concluded the investigation of Elizabeth Thomas’s alleged kidnapping, more and more details about this event had been made public. In a recent press statement, the TBI revealed that Tad Cummins spent weeks planning the student’s action, a plan involving the withdrawal of a considerable sum of money, buying Cialis (pills commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction), and sexual lubricant.
Tad Cummins Planned Ahead
Last week, acting on a tip received from a Siskiyou County resident, the authorities managed to track down and apprehend Tad Cummins, thus ending a 6-week nationwide manhunt. Cummins surrendered without any incidents, and Thomas has been reunited with her family at a safe location.
A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesperson told the press that Thomas’s kidnapping wasn’t a random event. In fact, according to the evidence, Tad Cummins spent at least a couple of weeks going over the plan of how he was going to kidnap and flee the state with Thomas.
Chronologically speaking, the first incident which hinted that Cummins was planning something big was, according to the authorities, the man’s clandestine loan application. One week prior to Elizabeth Thomas’s disappearance, Cummins cashed out a $4,500 loan using false credentials. Moreover, it would appear that the individual also bought a considerable quantity of Cialis, pills used in the treatment of erectile dysfunctions, before the kidnapping.
The Suspect Submitted False Credentials on His Loan Application
According to Cummins’ wife, on the 13th of March, the day Thomas vanished without a trace, Tad asked her to borrow her car, a silver Nissan Rouge. Tad Cummins mentioned that he has a job interview and a nearby medical clinic. During the same day, Thomas went to her older sister and told her that something might be terribly wrong, and, in the event, Elizabeth does not return home that evening, she should contact the authorities and come looking for her.
On the evening of the 13th of March, Cummins’ wife returned home to discover her husband gone. However, the woman found a note from Tad in which the man explained that he wanted to take a trip to either Washington D.C. or Virginia Beach in order to put things into perspective. Cummins’ wife phoned the police after her husband failed to return home the following day.
The security footage retrieved from the Oklahoma City Wal-Mart, the suspect’s last confirmed location, revealed that Cummins bought various items which could ultimately facilitate his getaway. Authorities declared that Cummins and Thomas purchased black dye and, a tube of sexual lubricant.
