IF you were attempting to see what job is the most profitable this year, thankfully, Glassdoor has already done that.

In case you were wondering what job you should opt for in this new year, the best jobs in the US for 2016 were revealed by Glassdoor, a famous job-placing company. Taking into account that millions of American citizens are in the process of hunting profitable jobs, the company’s report may influence job applicants’ decision by a rather hefty amount.

In regards to the election process undergone by Glassdoor when conducting their research regarding the best job, multiple factors were taken into account. The average salary on entry level workplaces, the number of benefits and perks, the general mood inside the company and career prospects were all considered. But the factors linked  to individual preferences, like if you enjoy working at said company or if you like the work you do each and every day are up for you to decide.

The best job for 2016 seems to be working as a data scientists. Besides the rather hefty paycheck, anonymous employees from various companies have stated that they actually enjoy working in this field. For instance, at the Airbnb company, employees enjoy practicing their work alongside other smart employees while the company’s benefits pour in each and every month. The addition of a flexible program that allows you in some cases to work however and from wherever you would like, depending on the task, is also extremely beneficial.

If you are good with numbers and enjoy sifting through taxes and numbers, then the tax manager job is the one for you. This workplace was classified as the 2nd best on the list, due to the relative ease of work, if you are good with numbers, of course, and the rather large monthly income. True, the latter factor differs from company to company, but some people often opt for a job that has a lower pay grade if they are able to practice what they enjoy.

What was surprising is that previous top jobs like software-related workplaces, were rather low in comparison to past years. Software engineers were placed at 9 while software developer managers were in the 12th place. On the other hand, due to the increased popularity of smartphone apps and the friendly environment created by various companies towards software development, mobile developers were classified as the 5th best workplace in the US.

Taking into account how the best jobs in the US for 2016 were revealed by Glassdoor, with the full top 25 list being available on their website, people might thoroughly consider a potential job as a data scientists. Hopefully, this will not lead to an over saturated market in that area, leaving all people who want to work there free to opt for this type of job.
