Busy People have better brains.
It seems like busy people have better brains according to the latest study. It was proved that people with many things to do daily performed better in cognitive functions such as mental quickness, reasoning, and memory.
The study has also discovered that as you get older, you should find a way to keep yourself busy just as if you had a job. The reason is that being busy reduces the risk of dementia among older people.
Several tips might help you enjoy your day even if you are busy. Scientists encourage people to do some morning exercises after you wake up. Second, you should eat something as breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Then, even if you arrive at work and see that you have so many things to do, just do them because they are part of your job, and it will help your future development not necessarily regarding your career but most importantly about yourself, as a person.
When you come back from work you have other things to do, but that is ok. If you have kids, it’s only natural to take care of them and encourage them in their hobbies such as soccer or other sports. Then you have to make dinner and prepare yourself for the next day which is most likely to be similar to this one.
But what experts encourage us to understand is that having a busy and hectic life could be a good exercise for the brain.
In the latest study, 330 people between the ages of 50 and 89 were tested to determine their cognitive brain functions including mental quickness, reasoning, and memory. The participants also had to fill out questionnaires which proved that those who had less free time had sharper minds.
Plus, it was established among older participants that exercising and keeping busy can prevent dementia. Nevertheless, scientists advise people to avoid exaggeration. Plus, the study was small and did not account for potential consequences, such as stress, the risk of heart diseases and negative effects on metabolism.
Furthermore, it might be possible that some of the participants had a better natural cognitive function. All in all, better brains seem to fit busy people.
