Google Maps set to be updated to version 9.19, bringing about a set of new features that promise to enhance your Google Maps experience. The update is set to be released just for Android at the moment.

However, Google Maps v9.19 isn’t yet available for all Android devices out there. It is expected that the update will be rolled out gradually. Check out Google Play to see if Google Maps v9.19 reached you. If the update isn’t available yet, just be patient and read all about it here.

Google Maps set to be updated to version 9.19 has most of us up and about the new features it packs. For starters, Google Maps v9.19 pack a brand new Driving Mode which is so typical for Google. As other features of Google services, the new Driving Mode will access your browsing history and location to search for potential spots you may want to go to.

If you haven’t manually typed in an address, Driving Mode will show you potential destinations with routes and all things attached. For instance the new Driving Mode will push through notifications regarding traffic, road blockages and alternative routes to that destination where Google Maps believes you may be going.

In case you’re wondering how much time it may take you to drive from point A to point B, Google Maps v9.19 integrated the estimated time of arrival in the new Driving Mode as well. Thus you don’t need to check the time every two minutes.

Furthermore, the updated Google Maps brings back audio toggle in the Navigation mode and Driving Mode too. In Driving Mode you can select between Muted and Unmuted. Navigation mode has more options in the overflow menu. These are Muted, Unmuted and Alerts Only.

Google Maps v9.19 brings one more added feature. On the usual Timeline, there will be a settings screen as well. Previously, the only option integrated with the Timeline was deleting location history. Now, it seems that Google offers you the possibility to use location history for Google Maps to browse through it and surface the correct address of a location which you may have entered incorrectly. In addition, Google Photos can be added for the specific location if you so wish.

The update should be rolling out soon for all Android users. However an Android Police report noted that the additional features coming with the Driving Mode are already bugged, preventing the well functioning of the Google Maps service. Before the new Google Maps version is released for all Android users Google may want to fix this bug.
