The Floating bonsai Tree Combines Perfectly the Art with the Technology

January 25, 2016 By Amanda Lane Leave a Comment

"bonsai"

The tiny bonsai trees that can float are the best investment for home decoration.

Almost any object that can fly is automatically cooler, but the floating bonsai tree combines perfectly the art with the technology and is one of the coolest home decorations you could find.

A new project called Air Bonsai combines the traditional Japanese craftsmanship called moonozukuri with the wee plants and the magnetic levitation. The plants use the same floating technologies the floating speakers use. The plant that you choose is contained within a floating ball. The goal of the team was $80,000 and it was surpassed, but you can give $200 and you’ll have your own kit to start with.

The only issue if you live in the United States is that the plants are hard to be imported in the country. So instead of receiving a bonsai tree or another plant, you will receive a small pine tree. Even though they don’t sound as exotic or interesting as the bonsai trees, they are also pretty cool and you can replace them with other tiny plants. Also, if you have another plant in mind, the creators of the floating plants have thought about that as well, and you can choose a different kit. And your visitors will definitely be as impressed as they would be by any tiny floating plant.

If you like the objects in your home to be simple, then you won’t like the extra feature, but if you are into bold, interesting and strange objects, then you will definitely like the improved floating orb. You can place your tiny plant in a pot made out of lava stone, which offers four designs for the magnetic field. Don’t worry, because they won’t look like some of the speakers you might have probably seen at some trade shows. They look classier and way more interesting.

The miniature plant can spin and hover over its magnetic base. Don’t think that the plants are just props. You will have to water and take care of the plant regularly, as you would with any other plant. The base has a diameter of six centimeters and the base can hover 2 centimeters above its magnetic base. The project was launched by a team of developers from the Kyushu region, situated in Japan.

If you are feeling very generous, then you can get a base, a Bonsai star, a tour of a Bonsai garden, a handmade cushion and a tour of the workshop, all for $10,000. The floating bonsai tree combines perfectly the art with the technology and it can be yours for only $200.
