The first teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s upcoming and highly-anticipated live-action remake of the Disney classic Dumbo is finally here. The entire trailer is set on a calm and soothing version of the song Baby Mine by Aurora, aka the song that Dumbo’s mother sings to him in the original 1941 animated movie. It seems that Burton’s version will be darker than the original that followed the emotional story of the baby elephant that spread hope and happiness everywhere he went.
It seems that Dumbo’s absolutely huge and unique ears did not made him very successful. Especially in a circus that is already failing. That’s until owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) and a former star, Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) with his two children discover Dumbo’s incredible ability to fly using his ears. But entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton) eventually takes the elephant. He and forces him to perform for his venture called Dreamland. V.A also makes him perform alongside aerial artist Colette Marchant (Eva Green). This adventure will make everyone learn that things are not always how they seem. That’s even if sometimes, the grass may look greener on the other side.
The first trailer for Tim Burton’s Dumbo is here
Dumbo is one of the upcoming live-action remakes of its classic animated tales. It follows in the footsteps of the already-successful Cinderella, The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast. But there are even more such movies being developed at the moment. This impressive list includes Aladdin, Christopher Robin, and Mulan. Also, The Lion King, Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, Snow White and The Seven Dwarves, and many more.
Tim Burton also helmed 2010’s live-action remake of Alice in Wonderland. For Dumbo, he will once again blend CGI with live-action performances. And if the trailer is any indication, because trailers can be misleading, this movie will be a feast for the eyes, the soul, and the heart.
