Microsoft has taken by surprise the gaming world with its Xbox One Elite, an update of the previous paddle that was delivered along the Xbox One. The software producer is not focusing on this feature as a system for average gaming sessions, though. Instead, the controller was created for extremely skilled players, users who can handle their consoles with additional components for higher precision. The personalization it provides comes at an extreme cost, having a double price compared to a conventional $60 operator.
The Elite controller represents the top console gamepad the company has ever developed, but it does not come at an inexpensive price. At $150, the best idea is to wait for a promotional bonus or a package deal, unless you are very determined to buy one right now. At first glance, the Xbox One Elite seems like a trivial update. Besides its 3.5 mm headset port in the front and and a new sliding controller under it, there are not many differences between this high-end device and the conventional one. It is only when you begin playing around with its various thumb stick features or looking deeper into its advanced options that this gamepad shows why it is an exclusivist gadget.
The controller arrives with a solid frame that has a shaped area for the gaming buttons, an extra pocket for additional headphones, battery and a packed in micro-USB wire (a must-have for most gaming contests) that will attach the pad into a playing system. There is also a shaped rubberized support that hosts all gaming levers, two pairs of thumb sticks and an additional pad in position. The concept behind this feature is that it can keep your additional elements protected during transportation so they do not drop out after opening the gaming console. Everything will remain in its position aside maybe from its faceted pad, since its space is too reduced to keep it from moving around.
The main feature you notice when you grab the device to attach it to a gaming system is how large it is, compared to the regular gamepad. The producer says that, when it has all its additional parts connected to it, the gaming controller weighs only 350 grams. Nevertheless, the only time you notice it is the first games you play with it, since the hands and arms get used to its ergonomic design very quickly.
That extra weight probably comes from its renewed internal parts. The thumb sticks sensation is extremely springy and accurate, thanks to the built-in steel development. In previous models, these gaming consoles have always seemed difficult to use and were not relaxing to play with. With this new device, you have the freedom of selecting among various and switching them almost instantly, but the majority of the time you will be completely satisfied with the regular set. All of them are really comfortable to use and have a top quality look, as all the other elements that have bee strongly incorporated inside the controller.
