Verizon, one of the top wireless carriers in the United States, faces complaints from their customers regarding consumer privacy. In order to ease the furious and worried consumers, the wireless carrier is now offering a brand new tool that shut down “supercookies.”
Supercookies were discovered and introduced just last year. These are known to be keeping an eye to the online activity of the consumer. Since its introduction, people started to raise their concerns regarding their privacy.
Verizon use the data collected by supercookies in order to analyze and understand the interests of the customer. The information will then be used by internet marketers for advertising their products and services that are within the interests of the user.
