And a marvelous piece of news – Duolingo, coined one of the best language learning application on the Internet, will receive its much-anticipated social update. Thanks to the developer’s dedication towards making the application better, you will now be able to chat with your friends, compete in weekly events, compare your results, and meet other people who are interested in learning a new language.
For those of you who don’t know or have never heard about it, Duolingo is a language learning application designed for Android and iOS users. Since it was released, Duolingo earned its reputation of being user-friendly and far more entertaining than attending a foreign language course.
Duolingo makes learning a second or a third language easy thanks to its gorgeous user interface and its unique approaches. How to use the application? It’s quite easy actually. All you will need to do is download the application from Apple’s iStore or Google Play, install it, create an account (or simply sign in using your Facebook or Google Plus credentials), select the language or languages you want to learn and fire away.
As we’ve mentioned before, Duolingo became one the most popular language learning apps thanks to its unique, game-like approach. Stuff like nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, and tenses can be discouraging for those who attempt to learn a new language, not to mention boring.
But it doesn’t have to be this way, and Duolingo proves just that. The application is divided into various levels, and, to reach the next one, you must prove that you’ve mastered the previous levels by taking an examination. Don’t worry, it’s not as bad as it seems.
Duolingo also has a large number of built-in tools which can speed up the language learning process. For example, during the lessons, you will need to use your device’s microphone in order to say a certain word or a certain phrase.
Furthermore, Duolingo’s community is a great way to talk to people who are willing to learn the same languages and perhaps get some help if something is unclear.
And now, the Duolingo community will become even larger, thanks to the latest social update. As a user, you will now be able to chat with others, post your results on social media channels, compete in weekly events and earn your title on the leaderboard, and earn more goodies.
In addition, the developers also promised that they would upload a Duolingo tutorial for those who want to learn Klingon drinking songs and to speak Klingon. Qapla’!
