We have to admit that home devices outfitted with artificial intelligence are more and more popular. And who can say that they would rather do this the old-fashioned way when they have a highly intelligent voice-commanded assistant at their beck and call.
Remember Alexa, the smart virtual assistant who can do just about anything except making you an omelet? These devices can be quite handy around the house, especially if you are a tech buff who prefers intelligent appliances.
Well, it would seem that Google wants to end Amazon’s monopoly with Alexa, and decided to launch its smart device. Presenting Google Home, the epitome of comfort, and a marvelous way of controlling all types of smart appliances such as AC machines, lights, smart TVs, and computers.
Launched in 2016, Google Home is now Alexa’s main competitor, and that’s saying a lot considering that Amazon’s Alexa Store contains thousands of skills and voice commands. However, a recent event is sure to make Google Home even more popular than it was before.
Imagine the following scenario – you have two super smart devices, containing the latest research in the area of artificial intelligence. What can you do with them? Make them argue with each other, of course.
It’s exactly what a Google Home owner with his two devices – made the talk to each other and broadcasted their fiery verbal spar on Facebook Live. The two Google Home bots called Vladimir and Estragon, after the characters from the play ‘Waiting for Godot’, are delightful in every conceivable way.
They will tackle just about any subject you can imagine, and they will argue until they run out of batteries. Since Vladimir and Estragon’s verbal spar started, they’ve tried to figure out why the Earth is flat.
Probably the most amusing moment was when Estragon tried to convince his peer that it’s human. At one point, their conversation became so heated, that Vladimir actually threatened to slap the living daylight out of Estragon if he does not stop.
Of course, some other juicy topics of discussion revolve around the birds and the bees, popular television show, and much more. Since the live stream began, approximately 184,000 tuned in to watch them. Needless to say that the bickering duo received many comments and likes.
