A new HTC One A9 Aero leak has given potential consumers a sneak peek into the android smartphone which will be launched on October 20.
On Saturday, a set of images which claim to show the upcoming device have been published on Twitter by OnLeaks. The photos offer more insight into the product soon to be released by the Taiwanese multinational manufacturer.
While the leak features a black “dummy” unit normally used for display purposes in AT&T stores, it appears there will be a total of 6 color options for the One A9 handset. The range will also include gold, rose gold, silver, “cast iron” and garnet (purple). The HTC logo is prominently featured on the front and on the backside as well.
The gadget has a smooth aluminium body, and rounded corners. This isn’t exactly surprising, given the fact that former leaks in September had also showed images of the device’s build, albeit less detailed.
The handset’s design, which also embeds plastic antenna inserts on the back, may spur comparisons between this phone and Apple’s iPhone 6.
On the bottom, the 3.5 mm headphone jack and the speaker grille can be identified, which suggests that the dual front-facing BoomSound speakers are no longer available. There is also mini USB port between the jack and the grille.
At the top, there appears to be an Infrared blaster, allowing the device to double as a universal remote control. On the right, one can see the volume and power/lock buttons as well. The home button is oval-shaped, and on the left side of the device one can distinguish a microSD and SIM slot.
It is highly probable that the mobile phone has a Snapdragon 617 processor and a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 p Full HD display. Also, most likely it will have 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expendable storage and a 2150 mAH battery.
In addition, it is expected that it will have a Sense 7 User Interface, with Android 6.0 Marshmallow integration. As far as photo-taking is concerned, the gadget is bound to include a 4-megapixel Ultrapixel camera at the back, with optical image stabilization (OIS), fingerprint scanner protection and a selfie camera at the front.
One A9 Aero isn’t anticipated to become a flagship device for HTC, but instead aims to be a mid-range smartphone, to be purchased at a reasonable price.
More information about the gadget will be revealed on October 20, when the official announcement will be made.
