Recently, a candle producer and distributor from the United States has decided to recall its Luminous Candle Collection because of its flimsy glass casing which may result in severe injury. Yankee Candle issued a recall for all products from the Luminous Candle Collection, which includes over six scents.
A candle producer from the United States has ordered a voluntary recall of all products from the Luminous Candle Collection. Hope Margala, the company’s chief executive stated that the candles had been recalled on account that using them may result in serious injury.
The candles from the above-mentioned collection have a ripped glass casing and three wicks. Some customers reported that, in some cases, the glass casing could crack due to hit. The company, out of concern for the safety of its customers, decided to recall the Luminous Candle Collection.
Up until now, approximately 31,000 candles were sold in the United States and 300 in Canada. Fortunately, the company’s chief executive added, no one has been injured by the hazardous candles.
According to the company, the Luminous Candle Collection produced and distributed by Yankee Candle has six distinct scents: cinnamon and cedar, pine with sandalwood, sugarcane with honey, apple blossom with melon, blackberry with sage and sea salt with coral.
Margala declared that the customers can always hop on the phone in order to return the product to the company. In addition, the customer will receive a full refund and a candle of choice as a form of compensation.
The company’s chief executive took this opportunity to say that Yankee Candle considers client safety a top priority. As a result, even though just a small number of customers reported the problem, the company thought it for the best to pull out the products from the market before anyone gets injured.
So, if you bought a candle from the company, you can return it by accessing the company’s website and sending an e-mail to sales. A company representative will contact you to ask for the refund method. Meanwhile, if you don’t want to return the candle, but still want to use it, the company recommends taking extra precautions to ensure that the glass casing doesn’t crack.
Instead of lighting all three wicks, you can try lighting only one or two. Moreover, make sure to place the candle on a fireproof surface.
