Remember Mass Effect’s two ending? None of us were too happy about how the battle between Commander Shepherd and the Reapers ended, and the company left subtle hints that a fourth game is underway.
Dubbed Mass Effect Andromeda, the fourth installment in the Mass Effect series should continue the adventures of Commander Shepherd, intergalactic war hero, and first human Specter. Since the game was announced, many trailers were released. Some of them emphasized the graphic’s quality, others announced a brooding plot, while others showed us a glimpse of gameplay.
More than two years have passed since the third installment in the Mass Effect series was released, and now we are one step closer to playing Mass Effect Andromeda.
Surprisingly, the big news doesn’t come from the game’s developers, but from Amazon, which recently announced that players could pre-order their own copy of The Art of Mass Effect Andromeda, starting with the 23rd of March.
Of course, what good is to buy the game’s artwork without the actual game. And so, starting with the 23rd of March in the UK and the 21st of March in the US, you can now get your hands on your copy of Mass Effect Andromeda.
In addition, you can start pre-ordering your game right now. The PC version of Mass Effect Andromeda starts from $51, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions cost $61.
So, what can we find out about Mass Effect Andromeda from its cinematic trailer? A bit of country music in the background, and a mysterious character dressed in Shepherd’s classic N7 tactical suit casually looking for places to land in the galaxy.
The attention to details is quite breathtaking, and from the game’s trailer we discover a new system of space travel – just select the right planet and the ship (if it is a ship) will take you there in the blink of an eye.
There’s also the MAKO exploration vehicle, and something of a large-scale planetary battle, where the mysterious character leads the assault.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any further details regarding gameplay, system specs, graphics or story, but we can be sure that the game will be amazing.
And probably the question that’s on everyone’s lips is whether or not the masked character is really Commander Shepherd or a new character.
