Facebook recently unveiled even more features for its Messenger app at the F8 conference. The chat platform has evolved a lot over the last months, and these new additions should make it even better. One of the best new features will be the upgraded Instant Games that will allow users to engage in social gaming sessions.
Instant Games and Their Social Gaming Powers
This feature is going to allow Messenger users to take part in a unique social gaming experience. All the games are going to be played within the chat. Although Instant Games is not a new feature for Facebook, this version comes with more games and improvements. Of course, you can’t even think about Instant Games without Words With Friends. This game was also added to the enhanced feature.
These mini activities are meant to be played in a private conversation or a group. Also, users may be glad to know that the games look a lot like traditional ones. Another benefit of this new option is the integration of Bots. With a little help from their artificial friends, users can have a different gaming experience.
These bots are automated and powered by AI. They are going to help Messenger aficionados know when they have to make their next move. Facebook mentioned that developers are encouraged to create bots for their games. This can make them more exciting and inventive, therefore attracting more players. Most games that are already available are, of course, turn-based.
Instant Games Will Continue Evolving
Now, users will have another way of spending their time online. Instant Games are going to be improved periodically as new such activities will continue to be added. Now, Facebook Messenger offers more than 50 titles. However, not all the games are available for every device.
Some of the names available on Instant Games include 8 Ball Pool from Miniclip, EverWing from Blackstorm, and Words With Friends from Zynga. Facebook mentioned that new games are going to be added almost every week.
The update for Facebook Messenger for Android and iOS is going to come sometime during the next few days. Users will now have to wait until this update to enjoy the Instant Games feature.
