During a recent press conference, Brentwood Police spokespersons declared that several individuals believed to be affiliated with the notorious MS-13 gang had been arrested. The individuals are being questioned regarding the disappearance and murder of two teenage girls in 2016. Police officials believe that the MS-13 gang members might be responsible for more than 30 teenage murders since 2010.
Brentwood Police said that several MS-13 gang members have been taken into custody and questioned about their connection with the latest Brentwood slayings. For those of your who don’t recall, last year, in September, the bodies of two African-American teenagers have been discovered by some passersby.
According to the authorities, on the 13th of September, Nisa Mickens, a 16-year-old girl from Brentwood was declared missing. Several hours later, the authorities found the teen’s body near a street lined up with trees.
The coroner’s report revealed that Mickens was brutally beaten by several individuals before drawing her last breath. Oddly enough, one day after discovering the savagely beaten body of 16-year-old Nisa Mickens, the authorities uncovered the corpse of Kayla Cuevas, another teenager living in the same neighborhood as Nisa. According to the victims’ parents, the two girls were best friends, and virtually inseparable.
Unfortunately, Nisa and Kayla were not the last victims attributed to the notorious MS-13 gang. During the same month, the authorities also uncovered the skeletal remains belonging to 15-year-old Miguel Garcia-Moran and 19-year-old Oscar Acosta. The investigators declared that the skeletal remains were found buried in a remote area of the city and that the victims were reported missing in February and May.
A month after discovering Nisa and Kayla’s bodies along with the skeletal remains of Garcia-Moran and Acosta, the investigators would discover another body in an advanced state of decomposition in the heavily wooded area surrounding the town’s Pilgrim Psychiatric Center.
The coroner’s report suggests that the latest body found by the authorities belongs to an 18-year-old individual, later identified as being Jose Pena-Hernandez. The man’s police file shows that Hernandez was a devoted member of the MS-13 gang.
And recently, the Brentwood authorities have decided to arrest several MS-13 gang members and to question about the high body count. The police officials declared that the notorious gang might be responsible for at least 30 murders since 2010, but they don’t have any evidence to support this theory.
