According to the San Antonio authorities, on early Sunday morning, a bar patron was rushed to the hospital in critical, yet stable condition, after being shot by an unknown individual carrying an assault rifle. The investigators said that the victim did not know the man who shot him. ER doctors said that the man was shot three times, once in the chest and twice in the legs. No suspects have been rounded up so far.
A San Antonio Police Department spokesperson recently declared that, on Sunday morning, at approximately 1:45 am, an individual called 911 and said that he heard a gunshot at a locale situated at 5000 Block of Evers Road. After tracing the phone, the authorities discovered that the call originated from a night club called the What’s It to You Lounge.
Upon arriving at the indicated location, the authorities found a heavily-wounded individual. The man was rushed to the hospital where he was treated for several gunshot wounds. According to the ER doctors who examined the individual, it would appear that he was shot three times from close range with a high-caliber gun, most likely an assault rifle. The man had two bullets lodged in his legs and another one in his chest.
Although the authorities refused to release any detail regarding the victim’s condition, it would seem that the man has been stabilized. At the moment, the authorities are struggling to track down the suspect. However, the suspect left behind little to no evidence.
For instance, the investigators don’t know for certain if the shooting took place inside or outside the night club. A San Antonio Police Department spokesperson declared that the investigation of the premises revealed several bullet cases outside the locale. However, the police could not tell if the shells were fired from the same gun which sent the bar patron to the hospital or if they were fired by an entirely different gun. Unfortunately, no one witnessed the bloody event.
A quick look at the bar’s security tapes revealed that the man carrying the assault rifle might have used a Dodge Durango in order to stage his escape. However, the tapes did not expose the car’s license plates.
At the moment, the San Diego authorities could not find any reason as to why the individual chose to shoot the bar patron. SDPD asked the public to come forth if they have any relevant information about the case.
