We all know those lazy moments during the day when waiting for the bus or taking a small break from work or waiting for food to be served. It often happens to us to look at our phone and randomly scroll down on the internet. Google found a way of entertaining you in those moments through a new app, which has to do with Solitaire and Tic Tac Toe.
Solitaire and Tic Tac Toe are popular games in our childhood: Solitaire on the PCs and Tic Tac Toe which can always be put down on paper. What is new about the Google app is that you can access the games in the search bar. There is no need four you to download the separate applications or to enter a site and to log in. All you have to do is write the name of the game in the search box, and the first result of your search will be the game itself. You just have to click on it and play.
Solitaire is a card game, and it’s the same we were used to, namely gathering cards of different color in the specific order, being able to choose a difficulty level (easy or hard), enabling the sound, undoing a move and so on. With Tic Tac Toe you can play against a computer or choose a partner, as well as you can choose one of the three levels of difficulty of the game (easy, medium or impossible), according to your skills at the game. The computer also keeps track of your score.
Both Solitaire and Tic Tac Toe are available on smartphones, laptops, and PCs.
Apart from Solitaire and Tic Tac Toe, you can also google some other interesting and entertaining so-called apps that pop out of your search box. You can try “flip a coin” – and the classic game will appear in an instant to help you place your bet. Or you can try the phrase “what sound does a pig make” and find both the audible sound and the graphic transcription. You can also pick from a larger range of animals, including wild ones. This last app can turn quite educational for children.
Google has always found ways of amusing its users, through colorful doodles which could sometimes even turn into small games. But this time, with Solitaire and Tic Tac Toe, it’s a bit more than that. Try the Google-powered apps next time when you’re bored and pick your favorite.
