A new device will join the market as Samsung will launch a Serif TV in the United States next month. The new model will be on sale at a price of $1.499. The first model appeared in 2015 at the London Design Festival, so the SERIF TV was already successful in Europe.
Now, the company wants to have the same success in the United States as well. Samsung Electronics America Inc. is the world’s leader for 10 years already regarding home entertainment. The company wants to maintain its position as a leader with the new SERIF TV by releasing it this summer.
The model was designed thanks to the collaboration between Erwan Bouroullec and Ronan. Design-centric high-end retailers will have the new model available beginning in August in stores such as Ligne Roset, Bo Concept NY, Vitra, and other important markets.
Customers who are eager to get the product as soon as possible can currently find it on presale in the MoMA Design Store and through Samsung.com. Also, it is the first time Samsung joined efforts with a designer to develop a revolutionary TV model that has already made quite an impression on the European market.
According to critics, the Bouroullec Brothers have changed every feature of the model, meaning that they developed an entirely original design, starting from the delicate and solid exterior to the excellent interface. Another important feature is that the remote control is much easier to use compared to previous models.
The new Samsung SERIF TV will provide customers with a 40” TV and a 4K experience, meaning that the picture quality features the latest technological trend. Besides the 4K UHD resolution, which is four times better than full HD TVs, the HDR Premium technology makes images seem more realistic and natural.
Also, the brightness and color have been substantially improved. Regarding the interior components, the SERIF TV has a quad-core processor which allows the user to switch quickly between streaming content, apps, and live TV.
According to Dave Das, Samsung Electronics America, Home Entertainment Senior Vice President, the Samsung SERIF TV benefits from better sound clarity and an excellent picture quality. The Bouroullec Brothers’ strategy has paid off, as not only the company but also customers have been impressed by the new device.
